Meet Suzanne Allbee - Bee organized seattle
I met Suzanne when both of our children were attending the same elementary school. We both volunteered on the fundraising committee for the school auction, and I learned that Suzanne was a professional event planner! Over the years, I saw that in action, and appreciated her calm enthusiasm in our community. So, it was really fun to see her launch her own business, Bee Organized Seattle.
We recently worked together on her branding photos where she's fully stepping into her business as the leader who keeps her team busy and helps others live a more stress-free life with more organized spaces. It's my pleasure to shine a spotlight on her work and business.

Bee Organized Seattle
How would you describe what you do?
We help people live their lives to the fullest through organization. We help people declutter and simplify, take control of the 'chaos' in their homes, support them during major life transitions, and create an environment in which they can relax, enjoy, and promote their overall mental well-being. Sometimes, that means helping someone organize their garage to maximize its efficiency. Other times, it involves assisting before or after a home renovation or move. Often, we help busy families create systems to improve overall home efficiencies, minimizing frustrations. More than anything, we work to help people simplify their lives so they can benefit from the mental well-being that simplification provides. We approach every project with compassion, confidentiality, and a judgment-free attitude.
How did you decide to focus on this area of work?
I'm a natural planner and have always felt my best when I have an organized plan and am in calm surroundings. I was also 'addicted' to HGTV and loved learning about design and how to create calming environments.
I realized that many people struggle to find comfort in their own homes, and that this has a negative impact on their overall happiness. I had also recently experienced the need to help my parents downsize from their long-time home into a senior community. This overwhelming process highlighted a need that many seniors and their families share: coming to terms with the 'stuff' accumulated over years, which often becomes a barrier to moving on to the next chapter of their lives.
In general, I enjoy helping people simplify their lives through organization, enabling them to spend time with loved ones and engage in activities they enjoy.
What inspired you to full time in this business/career?
The majority of my career prior to organizing was in hospitality and event planning. I loved the logistics of event planning, creating memorable experiences for people, and tapping into my creative side. I was looking for a change and a career that could benefit from this skill set in a more personal and rewarding way. Owning my own business was also an exciting challenge, and I wanted to be an example to my daughters of what can be accomplished with hard work and determination. The opportunity to also shine a spotlight on women-owned and women-operated businesses, and to provide satisfying part-time roles for women juggling kids and busy family schedules, was also a motivating factor.
What advice or tips would you like to share for those considering this career path?
To be successful in this career, you not only need a knack for organization and logistics, but also a truly empathetic heart. This job is very intimate, in that your clients often share parts of their lives they may not share with anyone else. Everyone’s relationship with their 'stuff' is different and can be very emotional when it comes time to part with some of their belongings. A strong desire to help people is perhaps the most important trait required.
What’s a great way for people to connect with you to learn more?
