Meet Annalise Johnson: Charcuterie by Annalise
When I met Annalise, she was visiting a local networking meeting I was attending. And, she brought a beautiful, edible work of art (that's what I think of her Charcuterie)! I was immediately impressed with her work and her grounded, positive energy. I'm excited to shine a spotlight on her business here and showcase some of the photography work I've been delighted to create with her.

How do you describe your business?
I create beautiful and delicious custom charcuterie spreads for every occasion. My goal is to bring people together around the table using high quality, ready to eat artistic spreads to ease hosting and create an interactive edible art centerpiece.
How did you decide to focus on this area of work?
I come from a big Italian family and grew up with fresh and delicious homemade meals and lots of antipasto platters. The matriarch of our family, my Grandma Rose, is at the center of my inspiration for starting this business. When we canceled her birthday party due to the pandemic, I decided to make small "to-go" plates of charcuterie to deliver to my Mom and Grandma as an alternative to our original plans. This inspired my idea to create Charcuterie by Annalise.
What inspired you to go full time in your business?
What originally started as a fun side hobby, quickly flourished into a passion I could see myself doing long term. I love the creative and artistic aspects of this business- every spread is unique and no two spreads are identical. I love finding new edible delights and sharing them with others as well as bringing people together around the table.
What advice or tips would you like to share for those considering this career path?
Anything can be art and playing with your food can sometimes lead to a culinary career ;)
